About F.I.R.E.

The Florida Institute for Reform and Empowerment (F.I.R.E.) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that both trains and develops leaders and organizes families in low-to moderate-income communities in Florida. Our vision is for these communities to become critically engaged in the political system in order to create a more just and equitable society.

What does F.I.R.E. do?

  • F.I.R.E. educates voters on issues facing low and middle class Floridians.
  • F.I.R.E. trains the public on becoming leaders in their communities.
  • F.I.R.E. focuses on assessing community concerns and empowering community members so that they have the skills they need to address those concerns.
  • F.I.R.E. hosts educational events like the Politics and Potluck series where supporters can learn about issues affecting their communities.
